Meet Our Team

Dr. Jeff P. Young, a board-certified dermatologist, has been practicing dermatology in Texarkana for over 23 years.  Dr. Young maintains a professional practice utilizing the most cutting-edge procedures and technology in the industry.  He approaches each patient with both kindness and compassion. He spends time getting to know patients’ needs and expectations and educates them on the procedures performed. Dr. Young always makes himself available for follow-up consultations.   

Although Dr. Young’s practice has consisted of medical and surgical dermatology diagnosis and treatment, he is excited to expand his practice to include aesthetic services.  Dr. Young recognizes the growing desire of patients for an “all inclusive” skin specialist and destination.  He, along with his medical aesthetician, will offer injectables, laser hair reduction, and numerous facial and body treatments.     

Born and raised in Texarkana, Texas, Dr. Young is proud to serve a community that has been influential in shaping the person that he is today.  Dr. Young graduated from Texas High School and then attended the University of Texas at Austin.  In 1989, he graduated with honors with a degree in psychology. From 1990 – 1994 Dr. Young attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.  He graduated in 1994 and spent another year as an intern at UAMS.  After graduating at the top of his class, Dr. Young was offered a dermatology residency at the prestigious University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. 

In 1998 Dr. Young moved back home and, with his business partner, Hayden Franks, opened Dermatology Associates.  Throughout the years of his practice, he has had the privilege of treating the dermatological needs of patients from Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.  Dr. Young never meets a stranger and looks forward to meeting new and seeing old friends at his clinic every day.
